John grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania wanting to be just like his dad.
Then he went away to college and wanted to be Bob Dylan.
Eventually he became an actor, following the voices in his head.
In the middle he was a United States Marine, a salesman, a traveler, a dreamer.
John attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, receiving a BA in Motion Pictures and Television with a focus on screenwriting and acting. While living in the Bay Area he joined the wildly successful production Point Break LIVE, performing to sold-out audiences. After moving to Los Angeles John joined the L.A. cast of the play, along with it’s sister production Terminator Too: Judgment Play. Much of the cast has reunited once again for the over-the-top comedy production Tom Gun Live: a Maverick’s Homage, currently performing an open-ended monthly run at the Regent Theater in Downtown Los Angeles. Appearing as Viper, John gets to show off the full strength of his mustache, while tapping in to his military background.
Besides performing and touring with these productions, John is a member of SAG-Aftra and has acted in dozens of independent films, some of which have screened at film festivals around the world. He has also been featured in multiple national and regional commercials, as well as appearing on TV in the TNT detective drama series Murder in the First. In 2018 you can find John in the feature film Blindspotting, starring Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal.
In the end, John still wants to be like his dad, and will maybe coach Little League one day too.
And he’ll always be a dreamer.
